25-9-2009 Kingston upon Thames is on a direct rail route to London. It Has also got Hampton Court, Kew Gardens and Ham House nearby. It is located on the River Thames so their are some good boat trips and walks along the riverside. an Excellent shopping centre with a good nighlife. Some excellent pubs including Waggon on Horses Surbiton. New Inn Ham Common, Bishop Out of Residents Central Kingston and Kings Head Hampton Court.

14-9-2009 Kingston upon Thames is in the county of Surrey and approximately 20 miles South west of London with excellent transport links. Hampton Court,Kew Gardens, Twickenham Rugby Stadium, Ham House and Central London are all within easy reach. You can take a river cruise along the Thames from here. There are some excellent Walks in the surrounding areas including the riverside path and Richmond Royal Park. The shopping centre is excellent with a good variety of shops. There are many of the national chain of restaurants plus some privately owned ones. We visited a few pub which varied, One of the best was The New Inn on Ham Common set overlooking the village Green In Ham. it served good pool albeit rather overpriced, nice beer and wine and it had a relaxed atmosphere. another one worth trying is The Waggon and Horses in Surbiton which is real traditional English pub also selling Thai food. The Albert Arms Kingston Hill is also another one worth a visit. The Bishop Out of Residents is also good
