This is a great family run site just a stone's throw from the Southampton to Cowes Ferry. Our camper was given a hard standing with a large grass area beside it. I had my own water tap and drain for grey water. From high up here I had breathtaking views over the Solent and the town of Cowes. There were other terraces before the area went into a grassy area for tents. Through a gate here you were on the seafront. On the site there's a swimming pool which is surrounded by a grassy area for those who don't want to get wet. Nearby, in the main house is the restaurant and bar. We found it an easy walk into Cowes via the free Chain ferry and as we have Bus passes we were able to use these to explore the rest of the Island. I will certainly be going back to this most enjoyable campsite. Frances Hunt. July 2009
