Our first impressions of the interior of this hotel remind us of a nursing home where you would go to visit an old aunt.
Its rather tired and dated furnishings only add to this impression.
There does seem to be plenty of places sit and relax, with its many small rooms and large conservatory, although some of the seating was rather uncomfortable.
Our room has good lake views and is comfortable with all the necessary facilities, although the décor could be improved upon.
The en-suite has a separate bath and shower.
The food served is generally well cooked and presented, although breakfast could be a lot better.
Our biggest problem is the price of the food and drink on offer.
This in the end is what most spoiled the enjoyment of our stay in this hotel.
The spa and leisure complex, although looking fairly new, is already a bit tired and dated.
Our top marks go to the gardener with his well-stocked and maintained garden grounds.
