30-3-2010 Bude is a brilliant place to visit – whatever your age. There are lovely, level walks along the canal towpath with excellent disabled access, miles of sandy beaches where the children can safely play and plenty of activities. There are lots of excellent places to visit within a very short distance so Bude makes a really good base for exploring North Cornwall and North Devon. The scenery is breathtaking from the cliff-top paths which are sure to appeal whether you are a serious rambler, or just an ambler. The town itself is well served with lots of interesting local shops and good restaurants. If you are on a self-catering holiday, there is easy access to a huge supermarket where you can also buy fuel and gas cylinders. There is a first class Tourist Information centre and plenty of parking for day visitors. Above all, it is a friendly and welcoming place with something for everyone.
