25-6-2009 If you have a chance, do stay at the Grand Melia. The accommodations were wonderful, couldn't be better. Be aware that the hotel is out of the way so you do everything through the hotel and that all comes at a price. Our food was excellent but very pricey. From the airport to the hotel is about a 45 minute ride but once you get there you are in heaven and everything was taken care of for us. Had a great time.

25-6-2009 We were there for our anniversary and we had a worderfull time, my wife did'nt want to go and asked me to take her there again.
There was a good entertaiment at nights ,the pool was fantastic.The restaurant la pasion por el fogon by mirtha was excelent.
The only disappointed was the beach, but it is something tipical here in PR, there are not so nice beaches.

25-6-2009 This was an awesome place to stay. Everything was beautiful, from the grounds to the rooms to the restaraunts. If you are looking for a great place to get away from it all, this is definitely the place. If you are looking for a place to stay with other excursions and interests in PR, I would not recommend staying here. It cost $75 R/T to the cruise port or airport. There is nothing in the general vacinity to go to without paying high price for transportation or renting your own car. I would not stay there again only for that reason, otherwise I loved the place.

25-6-2009 Is a good value for the money, great friendly staff, beautiful rooms, great place, we were glad that we had a car so we can go and explore other dining alternatives.

No outdoor dining area other than pool restaurant!
extremelly limited menu at pool restaurant! Everything is fried!
hours of operation of pool bar and pool restaurant!
music from stereo by the pool was different than music at club house, it was a mess, several of us(guests) were annoyed by the lack of synchronization with the music!
beach area is small, there is an open area that could be filled with sand between pool and villas!

will like to see more casual restaurants, more options!

25-6-2009 I would recommend this resort to anyone who is looking for a quiet stay with world class standards. What impressed us the most was the accommodating service and quality of the facility. I would also recommend a rental vehicle being that it is located quite a distance from San Juan and the airport. The only item that were a little weak was the beach area and we found the on site restaurants/lounges being pricey. For what we spent on the rooms we experienced good value for our money and accommodations met and exceeded our expectations.

25-6-2009 Liegt weit weg von allem. Mietwagen erforderlich. Dafür unverständliche Parkgebühr.
Hotel sehr weitläufig. Durchschnittlich ca. 300m zu Rezeption, Pool, Frühstück etc. Personal nur zum Teil freundlich, Roomservice unfähig, Zimmer edel aber ungemütlich, Strand wenig einladend, Baulärm angrenzend, wenig inklusiv, Essen, Getränke und andere Extras überteuert. Nichts zum Wohlfühlen!

25-6-2009 Everything about the hotel was excellent. The food, the ambiance, the room, the service, everything was excellent. The value we received from Skoosh was outstanding. The price for the room was half what all other sites offered. I will highly recommend looking at this site first and will do so for future purchases.
